Mastering Oils: Renaissance Glazing

Instructor: Kymberly Day

6 Week Class starting April 18

Thursdays 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Instruction Level: Basic drawing and painting skills encouraged, adults

Tuition: $249 / $229 GCCA Members

This class teaches how to use oil paint and mediums in the manner of Renaissance glazing techniques. Through the subtle buildup of translucent and semi-opaque layers & a combination of mediums, we will step by step cover a glazing process that adapts that of Early & High Renaissance period painting, from preparing the canvas surface properly to completion. This class is of greatest benefit to painters with strong drawing skills and painting experience already.
